Why is nothing available when 1 server is down in my cluster?

I have a cluster of 4 servers.

1 server goes down, and it hasn't been failed over yet.

I would assume that only the get() requests that need data from that one server will fail, yes? The server I'm connecting to is up and 2 other servers are up, so 3/4ths of my data is fully intact...

What is the difference between Fail Over and Remove?

Practically I would like to know the difference between Fail Over and Remove. If one server is acting up I would probably "remove" it from the cluster and then when the problem is resolved reboot the server and add it back into the cluster. Doesn't "Fail Over" do the same thing? I would think...

What happens when a node in the cluster goes down?

One cluster with two nodes running a bucket named test. The bucket type is Couchbase. The bucket is set up to have one replica.

I upload 10K documents to the bucket. The cluster now divides the data across the nodes. Node 1: 5K active / 5K replica Node 2: 5K active / 5K...
